那是一艘小小的船，
就這樣蹣跚走下了海灣。
那可是浩浩蕩蕩的大海，
對它發出的召喚。
多麼貪心的招手，
就這樣把它舔下了海岸；
莊嚴的風帆從未想到，
我的小傑作就此不見。

’T was such a gallant, gallant sea
That beckoned it away!
’T was such a greedy, greedy wave
That licked it from the coast;
Nor ever guessed the stately sails
My little craft was lost!
